I am interested in using Furry Friends' services. What do I do next?
If you are interested in our services please contact us to schedule a free in-home consultation. We do this to discuss your pets' needs as well as have you fill out our application, giving us some background information about your pet. We also require documentation that all pets are up to date on their shots.
What areas do you service?
We offer service in MOST areas of Rhode Island and select parts of Massachusetts. At this time we do not service Connecticut (except for doggie parties). Please contact us with specific location questions and we can get into more detail.
Do you offer your services on holidays?
Furry Friends is open every day of the year! However, due to increased demand certain times of year, such as Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks, we may have to limit the areas we service. Holiday rates may vary.

Yes, we do accept gratuities if you feel we have earned them but they are not required or added to our rates in any way.
What are some of the benefits of your dog park trips?
Dog park trips are a great way for your dogs to get the exercise they need. It gives your pup a safe environment to run and play off leash in a gated area. It's also a great way to work on socialization with other animals as well as socialization with other humans.
What do I need to provide for my animals while they are in your care?
Dog Park Trips & Walks: We'll need a leash, collar and/or harness, & treats (for walks only - they're not recommended at the dog park to avoid issues with other dogs). We do the rest!
Pet Taxi: If you have any safety restraint equipment (seat belt, car seat, etc), you will need to provide that as well as what's listed under "Walks".
If you are interested in pet sitting, we will go into detail at the in-home consultation.
What do your consultation services provide? We customize our consultations based on your needs. Examples of consultation services include: puppy-proofing your home, education on the "Do's" and "Don'ts" of Pet Ownership for Kids, Health and Beauty, and Nutritional consultations. If there is anything you need help with that is not listed, please contact us and we'd be more than happy to discuss it with you.
Do you offer obedience training?
Though we have successfully trained our own animals, we are in the process of looking into professional training programs and would like to complete a formal program before we start offering this service. We do plan to in the future so please keep checking!
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash and checks and credit cards. We currently accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Checks can be made payable to Furry Friends Pet Care Services. There is a $30.00 fee for any returned checks.
What is your cancellation policy?
We certainly understand that things do come up! If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment we do ask for 48 hours notice for all pet sitting clients and 24 hour notice for walking clients. If less than this notice is given, you are responsible for the full price of the visit.
What is your policy on inclement weather?
Unfortunately, we cannot control mother nature. In the event that it is no longer safe for us to reach your pet, we do reserve the right to cancel the appointment. We would give you as much advance notice as possible and there would be no charge for the visit. If we already have your animal in our care and it is no longer safe for them to be outdoors, we would promptly return the animal back to your home, and depending on how much of the visit was cut short, we would determine if any refund would apply.
