Furry Friends Owner Named Volunteer of the Month January 2009 by the Providence Animal Rescue League!
From Shana Cobin Director of Volunteer Services:
January Volunteer of the Month: Alysha Fraser
Alysha Fraser began volunteering at PARL in April of 2008. She had just started her own business, Furry Friends Pet Care Services (www.furryfriendsri.com), and decided that she wanted to supplement her time by helping shelter animals. Alysha started out working with our adoptable dogs, but we quickly learned that fundraising and donations seem to be her forte! Through Furry Friends, Alysha participated in a charitable program to procure donations of food and other items for PARL. She made a few trips here to drop off the donations she had collected, and each time her car was full to the brim! Alysha is also great about promoting us through her business’s e-newsletter and when speaking with clients about adoption. Alysha/Furry Friends has made several monetary donations to PARL as well to help our furry friends! Most recently Alysha expressed interest in assisting with photographing our dogs for our website. She is willing to do anything she can to help promote our animals and assist with their care. We are lucky to have her as a volunteer. Thank you Alysha!
