The puppy that you see in the picture beside me is the reason that Furry Friends Pet Care Services came to be. I have always been an animal lover. When I was a child you could always find me sitting in a corner with my nose in some sort of dog book. For years, my life's goal was to be a veterinarian though after a while I realized I did not have the heart for some of the harder parts of the job like putting an animal to sleep. I still, however, surrounded myself with animals. Growing up, my family and I bred miniature poodles and we were always avid Cocker Spaniel owners. When I graduated from high school, in addition to my part time job and being a full time college student, I used to house sit and pet sit for friends, family, neighbors, which I loved since unfortunately living in an apartment at the time, I wasn't allowed to have my own dog. Luckily we could have cats and I got my first two babies, Kitty and Buffy in 2003 and 2004. They are little characters and have brought so much joy into my life. So much so that for years I desperately wanted a puppy to complete our family and that dream was realized when we moved into our home last year and brought home a 10 week old, 4 pound Cocker Spaniel named Chloe. I knew Chloe was special as soon as I saw her. It was truly love at first sight. We were attached at the hip as I was on vacation the first 2 weeks we got her. She went for car rides with me, walks all the time, park trips, you name it we did it.
